Pictish Bull Pendant
This bull pendant is based on a number of 7th century 'picture stones' found at a Pictish fortress on the Moray coast of Scotland.
The Picts(painted or tattooed people) were a tribe who lived in ancient eastern and northern Scotland. The bull appears to have been an important symbol for them, possibly representing strength and fertility.
Made by Asgard Crafts from lead free pewter the pedant measures circa 39 mm x 27 mm.
This distinctive piece of Pictish jewellery ships worldwide.
