Bronze Irminsul Pendant
This bronze pendant depicts a stylised Irminsul.
Irminsuls were sacred pillar-like objects that played a significant role in Germanic paganism during the early medieval period. In a 9th century manuscript known as De miraculis sancti Alexandri, the Irminsul is described as 'a great wooden pillar erected and worshipped beneath the open sky'.
The Irminsul pendant measures circa 30 mm by 20 mm in size and it comes complete with a black neck-tie. This item ships worldwide.
